Eight regions in Ukraine joined harvesting campaign 2019
As of June 25th, agriproducers of Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Kirovograd and Poltava region have started early grains harvesting. By the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, 1,6 million tons (5 percent) of new crop has been harvested on 522 thou. hectares.
The volumes of harvested crops are as follows:
winter wheat — 496 thou. tons on 156 thou. hectares, 2 percent of the forecast areas;
winter barley — 1 million tons on 324 thou. hectares, 13 percent;
peas — 88 thou. tons on 42 thou. hectares;
winter rapeseed — 93 thou. tons on 52 thou. hectares with a yield of 1.8 t/ha (2018: 1.74 t/ha), 4 percent.
Agrarians of Vinnytsya region plan to start harvesting both spring and winter barley and rapeseed in the first decade of July.
