Iranian state-owned animal feed importer SLAL is believed to have purchased corn, barley and soymeal in international tenders that closed on Tuesday, but the tonnage bought was unclear, European traders said on Wednesday.
"I think a couple of consignments were bought for corn, barley and soymeal but probably well below the tender volumes," one trader said. "Sanctions are still making it very difficult to offer in Iran’s tenders."
SLAL had issued international tenders to purchase up to 300,000 tonnes of animal feed barley, 300,000 tonnes of feed corn and 300,000 tonnes of soymeal.
