Kazakhstan. 2018/19 flour exports hit a five-year low

Kazakhstan exported 104.8 KMT of flour in April 2018/19, or the smallest monthly volume since July 2011, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In September-April 2018/19, Kazakhstan exported 1.3 MMT of flour. This is down 21% from last season and down 9% from the five-year average. Moreover, its exports are the lowest in five years.

Afghanistan is the biggest importer with a market share of 67%. For the first time in the past 12 years, exports to Turkey are minimal, at a level of trial consignments.
