Romania. Corn exports are 22% higher than last season
According to port data, in June 2019 Romania exported 350.2 KMT of corn, which was 219% higher than in the same month of 2018 (109.8 KMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.
Key buyers of the month were: Turkey, Tunisia, Egypt and Spain.
In September-June 2018/19 Romania shipped 3994.2 KMT of corn via ports, which is 22% more than over the same period of 2017/18 (3300 KMT) due to higher export potential this season.
According to the official data of EuroStat (September-May 2018/19), Romania is exporting corn to Turkey at record pace, while exports to the traditional EU destinations such as Spain and Italy are visibly down this season.
