Russia. Grain stocks down 29% by April
Some data of the Russian State Statistics Service say that 23.5 MMT of grain was available at Russia’s farming, procurement and processing entities as of April 1, 2019, or 29% less than a year earlier. Wheat stocks totaled 13.9 MMT (down 33% year-on-year), reports UkrAgroConsult.
As of the reporting date, Russian procurement and processing entities held the following amounts of grains:
– corn – 1025.5 KMT (- 23.7% from Apr. 01, 2018),
– barley – 1140.3 KMT (-20.7%),
– rye – 363.8 KMT (-32.7%).
