Russia relies on Amur region in soybean production
In line with a presidential decree on agricultural export development, soybean production in Amur region, the top agricultural producer in the Far Eastern district, is to exceed 2 MMT by 2024. To solve a number of topical problems, the authorities are now discussing and designing tools, leverage and forms of state support needed for achieving the set target, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The 2018 soybean crop in Amur region amounted to 1.18 MMT, representing 30% of Russia’s total production of this commodity.
