Ukraine. 1.5 Ml ha planted to early spring grains
As of April 02, planting of early spring grains was underway all over Ukraine. At the same time, this work is 85 to 90 percent complete in the south of the country (Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson regions) and some western regions (Lviv, Khmelnytsky). The slowest planting progress is seen in the north (Sumy region), where farmers have planted just 9% of the earmarked area to early spring grains by now.
Spring fertilization of winter crops is drawing to an end. By the reporting date, farmers had fertilized 6192 Th ha of winter wheat (96% complete), 111 Th ha of winter rye (96%) and 985 Th ha of winter barley (98%), reports UkrAgroConsult.
