Ukraine. 365 Th ha planted to spring barley
As of March 18, 2019, planting of early spring grains had started almost all over Ukraine, except for some northern, western and eastern regions. It was already 22% complete (509 Th ha planted by the reporting date), reports UkrAgroConsult.
Spring fertilization of winter grains continues: growers had already fertilized 6232 Th ha of these crops (82% complete) by the reporting date. In particular, the fertilized area included 5235 Th ha of winter wheat (81% complete), 85 Th ha of winter rye (74%) and 908 Th ha of winter barley (90%).
