Ukraine. Salaries in agricultural sector grow by almost 24%
In January-June 2019, the average monthly salary in the Ukrainian agricultural sector grew by almost 24% compared to the same period last year, the Government portal reported with a reference to the data provided by the State Statistics Service.
“According to the data provided by the State Statistics Service, the average monthly salary in the agricultural sector amounted to UAH 8,388 (per a full time employee) in January-June 2019, which is 23.9% more compared to the same period last year, when salary totaled UAH 6,770," the report says.
Also, the average monthly salary in the food industry for the reporting period reached UAH 9,608, which is 20.5% more than in January-June 2018 (7,973).
In addition, the average salary in the agricultural sector in July amounted to 9,850 UAH, which is 12.8% more than in June (UAH 8,735). In the food industry, the average salary in July grew by 7.9% to UAH 10,654 (UAH 9,869 in June).
