Ukrainian business of Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, is ready for the global transformation. Earlier in May, the Board of Directors of DowDuPont has approved the separation of company’s Agriculture Division, which will become independent, publicly traded company Corteva Agriscience™ on June 1, 2019.
The New York Stock Exchange (the "NYSE") has authorized Corteva's common stock for listing and has advised that "when-issued" trading will begin on May 24, 2019 under the symbol "CTVA-WI." Following the spin-off, on June 3, 2019, Corteva common stock will begin "regular way" trading on the NYSE under the symbol "CTVA."
Corteva Agriscience™ will bring together the heritage of three companies – Dow, DuPont and DuPont Pioneer to create a market-shaping agriculture leader in Seeds, Crop Protection and Digital Agriculture.
“These three platforms will remain our key focus to offer the best integrated solutions for modern farmers all over the world and secure our purpose – to enrich the lives of those who produce and those who consume, ensuring progress for generations to come,” – said Mr. Rajan Gajaria, Executive Vice President, Business Platforms, Corteva Agriscience ™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, in Kyiv during the Media Club event organized on May 23. “We provide the right mix of seeds, crop protection, and digital solutions to maximize yield and improve profitability, ensuring an abundant and sustainable food supply for a growing global population,” he added.
Mr. Gajaria spoke about the global scale of company’s business and its activities on the European market. Corteva Agriscience™ is present in more than 40 countries in Europe, owns more than 10 production facilities and 15 R&D centers, has over 50 active ingredients in portfolio and employs more than 3,000 people. He emphasized the importance of European region, which contributes more than 16% out of $14.3B of the Global Net Sales of the company.
Mr.Gajaria presented R&D innovation principles, the new plant breeding technologies and the next generation of crop protection products, green chemistry that company is working on: “We continue developing our global presence and impact using the best-in-class infrastructure, research hubs and leading-edge genomic expertise, while also act locally by having local research and establishing local collaborations.”
Ukrainian team of Corteva Agriscience™ is ready to welcome global changes, according to Sergii Kharin, Business Leader, Eastern Europe, Corteva Agriscience™, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont. “Following our purpose, we are enriching lives of those who produce by offering a number of innovative seeds and crop protection products like new Arylex™ and Zorvec™ molecules. With our new philosophy, we also focus on consumer trends who tend to healthy lifestyle - by developing segment of the high-oleic sunflower hybrids under Brevant™ and Pioneer® brands.
