US experts named key world chicken exporters, Ukraine lists 6th

The US experts compiled a rating of major world chicken meat exporters where Ukraine holds the 6th position, UNN reports.

“In the TOP 10 world suppliers of chicken, Ukraine is ranked 6th followed by Belarus, Russia and Canada. American experts say that in 2019 Ukraine will increase chicken export by 10.4 per cent,” the message says.

According to the forecast, this year Belarus will reduce the supply of chicken to export markets by 6.6 per cent, while Russia will increase it by 5.4 per cent.

Brazil tops the rating. By the end of 2019, the country is expected to increase chicken exports by 2.4 per cent to 3.8 million tons.

The second and third positions are held by the EU and Thailand. This year, countries are expected to increase product shipments by 2.1 and 12 per cent, respectively.

As previously reported, the Association "Union of Poultry Breeders in Ukraine" supported the amendments to the tariff plans of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) between Ukraine and the EU to limit the growth of Ukrainian poultry meat imports.
