USDA: Black Sea oilseeds crop adjusted slightly

In April’s report, the USDA reduced its forecast for the 2018/19 oilseeds crop in the Black Sea region insignificantly, just by 0.024 MMT. So, it actually remains at 45.6 MMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The sunflower seed crop was decreased to 31,142 KMT (-116 KMT) at the expense of a crop reduction in Moldova.

The rapeseed crop rose to 5,863 KMT (+56 KMT) due to an upward adjustment for Moldova.

The estimate for Black Sea soybean production was raised to 8,583 KMT (+56 KMT) because of an increase in Ukraine’s harvest to 4,461 KMT against 4,400 KMT predicted before. At the same time, the soybean crop forecast for Turkey was cut by 5 KMT, to 95 KMT from 100 KMT.
