Ukraine intensifies export of grain

In the 2017/18 season as 31.01.18 domestic farmers exported to 23.95 million tonnes of grain, reported Ministry of agrarian policy.
So, on a specified date exported:

• corn – 7.7 million tons,
• barley – 3,9 million tons,
• the rye – 13.2 thousand t
• wheat – 12.2 million tonnes,

In addition, during the same period were exported 2554 thousand tons of flour, of which the share of wheat flour is 254,6 thousand tons and other types of flour 0,8 thousand tons.

Recall that in the 2016/17 season, Ukraine exported a record 43.8 million tonnes of grain. The second value index of exports was recorded in the 2015/16 season, when foreign markets were supplied 39.4 million tonnes of grain.

In 2017, with 14.6 million hectares was harvested 61,28 million tonnes of grain (against 65,98 million tonnes in 2016) at an average yield of 4.23 t/ha.

In Particular, it was produced:

• corn is 24.1 million tons,
• barley 8.3 million tonnes,
• peas, with 1.1 million tons,
• rye 506,8 thousand tons,
• oats – 471 kt,
• buckwheat – 180 thousand tons,
• rice – 63.9 thousand tons.
• wheat – 26,1 million tons,

In addition, in 2017 were collected 12.2 million tons of sunflower, 3.9 million tons of soybeans, 14.5 million tonnes of sugar beet with an average yield of 465,5 t/ha.
