Bulgaria. Oilseed market behavior, early August 2019

Sunflower seed price in Bulgaria’s market closed the week down BGN 2/MT at BGN 576/MT that is equivalent to USD 328/MT (- USD 2/MT), reports UkrAgroConsult. There was no trading activity ahead of the new season. Crop expectations for the new 2019/20 season are higher than last year.

Rapeseed price increased to BGN 667/MT (+BGN 4/MT) that is equivalent to USD 382/MT (+ USD 2/MT). The main factors included reduced forecasts for rapeseed production in the EU, harvest lagging behind last year’s pace as well as harvested area of rapeseed 16.6% less than last year.
