Ukraine. Farmers began harvesting sunflower seed
According to the latest information as of August 19, farmers have finished harvesting early grains and pulses: a 13.7% higher crop than last year and a 12.7% higher yield than last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.
They have begun harvesting late crops: buckwheat acreage forecast at 68 Th ha; millet acreage forecast at 90 Th ha.
Harvest of winter rape is drawing to an end. It is registered a 5.3% lower yield than last year. The crop is up almost 22% year-on-year owing to expanded acreage.
Harvest of sunflower seed started almost two weeks earlier than last year.
