Belarus. Moisture shortages complicate conditions for yield formation in spiked cereals
Moisture supply. Rain on May 1-10 noticeably replenished soil moisture supply. Effective moisture content is good. Increased moisture supply is seen in much of Mogilev region and locally in the north of Minsk and Vitebsk regions. Moisture shortages persisted in many parts of Brest region, which received little precipitation, and locally in Gomel region, where the soil dried to the greatest degree. Soil moisture content in the southeast of Brest region is low.
