Belarus. Recent rainfall replenished soil moisture content

Weather conditions. Due to high air temperatures and soil drought, difficult conditions develop for ear formation and filling in cereals and for rape plants.

Moisture supply. Recent rainfall replenished soil moisture content to the greatest degree in Brest, Gomel regions, the south of Minsk region and locally in the rest of the country. Due to uneven distribution of precipitation, soil moisture deficit persists in eastern and southeastern parts of Gomel region and in the northern west of the country.

Crop condition of winter and spring grains and pulses is good. Drought has damaged spiked cereals in Mogilev, Minsk, Grodno regions, the southwest of Vitebsk region and in the northeastern half of Gomel region.
