Kazakhstan. In 2018 grain exports through Aktau port increased by almost 200%

During January-April 2018, grain handling volume through the grain terminal of JSC "Ak Biday-Terminal" (subsidiary of JSC “Food Contract Corporation "NC") in Aktau port reached 320.5 KMT. It should be noted that over same period last year, grain handling amounted to 122.1 KMT.

It should be emphasized that an increase in handling volumes by almost 200% was caused by the growth of total exports share of Russian grain transit. Iran, which is the main importer of grain in Caspian region, was the main export destination.
