Bulgaria. Oilseed market behavior
Sunflower seed price in Bulgaria’s market rose (+BGN 5/MT) last week, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The EU sunflower seed markets were supported by October’s USDA report, which cut the crop forecast for Ukraine by 1 MMT.
Farmers harvested 1708 KMT of sunseed (down 8.2% year-on-year against down 1.2% a week earlier). Sunflower seed yield is lower than last year, at 2.30 MT/ha (-10.5%).
Export shipments in September were much higher than in the same month last year.
Rapeseed price did not change: it stays at BGN 676/MT that is equivalent to USD 382/MT (+ USD 2/MT because of the currency factor).
This season’s rapeseed exports are now down 8% year-on-year (down 19% a week earlier).
