Weather condition. Winter cereals resumed growth locally in the Danube Plain and in the eastern regions, where air temperatures peaked at 14-15°C.

Moisture supply. Recent precipitation slightly replenished soil moisture, which is still low. In the eastern regions, the soil moisture content in the 0-50 cm and 0-100 cm layers towards January was below 60%.

Crop condition. Due to high air temperatures, fall crops come out of deep dormancy into relative dormancy. A significant portion of wheat plants ceased growing in the fall in the stage of three-leaf seedlings, reports UkrAgroConsult.
