China planning to extend the range of agricultural commodities imported from Russia
A Chinese delegation, which inspected the areas of wheat and barley growing and storage as well as producers of soybean, rape, sunflower meals and oilcakes, ended its visit to Russia in late October.
Within the framework of the conducted inspection, the delegation, accompanied by employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor (the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance), visited Irkutsk, Rostov, Saratov, Penza, Kaliningrad, Samara regions and the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Apart from grain growing areas, 12 producing plants and commodity dispatch grounds, the Chinese experts familiarized themselves with operation of Rosselkhoznadzor’s units such as the Rostov Reference Center and the Rostov branch of the Center of Quality and Safety Assurance for Grain and Grain Products, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China will draw up a report as a follow-up of the visit.
