France to expand sunflower and soy plantings
The Ag Ministry of France forecasts an expansion of the country’s sunflower area to 690 Th ha (+14.3% from last year, +18.9% from the five-year average).
The planted area of rape will shrink to 1.09 Ml ha (-1.8% from last year, -24.3% from the five-year average).
Soy acreage will increase for an eighth year in a row, to a record 171 Th ha, UkrAgroConsult reports.
