Kazakhstan exported 5.2 MMT of wheat in September - July 2018/19 that is record high for this time of year and 5.2% more than a year earlier (4.9 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.
Kazakhstan exported 367.1 KMT of wheat in July 2018/19, i.e. 14.3% less than in July 2017/18 MY (428,2 MMT).
Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are still the biggest importers due to they absorb a combined 60% of total exports.
Exports to Turkmenistan increased manifold: 342.7 KMT against 88.9 KMT in the whole of MY 2017/18.
Growth in exports is registered to Uzbekistan (+3.5%), Georgia (+278%), Azerbaijan (+87%).
A slowdown of exports is observed to Turkey (-41%), the EU (-22%, last season’s third biggest importer), Tajikistan (-6%), Afghanistan (-7%).
