Kazakhstan. Temperature swings may negatively affect crop condition
Unfavorable weather conditions, accompanied by snow, snowstorms, ice-slick, persisted in the northern regions on March 1-10. The south saw rain turning into snow. In the north, air temperatures rose to -0-5°С at night and +0-5°С in the daytime. In the south, they reached +0-5°С at night and +10-18°С in the daytime. The arrival of a cold anticyclone caused air temperature to drop almost all over the territory, but it became slightly warmer as early as March 11-12.
Farmers in Kyzylorda region have started planting wheat. Preparation for spring fieldwork is underway in Karaganda region, reports UkrAgroConsult.
