Kernel supplies new crushing facility with thermal power plant
The Kernel company plans to construct a thermal power plant (TPP) in the territory of the greenfield crushing plant in Khmelnytsk region, Elevatorist.com reports with reference to the designer company Interproekt GmbH.
The thermal power plant will operate on production wastes thus making the complex energy-independent.
"The plant's production complex will also include an elevator, preparation shop, extraction shop, refining department, oil storage tanks, granulated meal and waste warehouse, finished product warehouses, treatment facilities, water treatment system, railway receptions and shipments, and other auxiliary buildings necessary for efficient operation," the report says.
The new OEP also provides for an efficient system of wastewater treatment, which has the least impact on the environment.
The company notes that much attention in the project is paid to the plant's logistics.
"We've been modeling different logistics solutions. But we focused on the one that provides the most efficient way to receive and ship raw materials and finished products. The enterprise provides for a developed system of roads and railways", – commented Interprojekt GmbH project manager Andrey Mazurenko.
Previously the company informed that the plant would be operational in 2020. The designed capacity of the plant is 1 million tons annually, the highest to date in Ukraine.
