List of beneficiaries of subsidies in agriculture extended in Moldova
The parliament on 20 July approved a draft on amendment of the law on the principles of subsidization in the development of agriculture and rural environment, in the final reading.
Thus, as the result of the amendments, the lawmakers extended the age limit for young farmers, who fit into the programme of providing subsidies in advance, from 35 to 40 years.
The migrants who returned to Moldova will be among the categories of beneficiaries. They will be able to ask for subsidies at making investments in the post-investment agriculture sector, as well as for startup projects in advance.
The MPs suggest establishing the maximal ceiling of the facilities at 30 per cent of the value of eligible investment.
The procedure of providing facilities and the categories of beneficiaries will be approved under cabinet decision. The beneficiaries will be subjected to verifications on the ground, made by the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture.
Also, the parliament simplified the special eligibility criteria and excluded the condition on the presentation of quality certificates and the proof that the applicant for subsidies has his/her own raw material production base.
The Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture will unveil half-year reports to the authority of the central public administration on the management of the national fund of development of agriculture and rural environment of the present year.
