Dry October in Moldova may put the country’s rapeseed crop at threat. Over 40 Th ha has been sown to winter rape this year, or almost 13 Th ha more than in 2017. Correspondingly, the rapeseed crop may increase to 100 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

However, the Agriculture Ministry does not rule out that the forecast yield may be reduced from 2.5 MT/ha to 1.8 MT/ha. At the same time, yield is predicted to be higher (3-4 MT/ha) locally in earlier planted fields. Such plantings are now in good condition.

Detailed analysis of the latest trends in oilseeds/vegoils/meals exports, palm oil imports, supply and demand balances with breakdown by crop as well as crop conditions and progress in planting/harvesting in the countries of Black Sea Region is available to subscribers for weekly market report "Black Sea Vegoils" by UkrAgroConsult.
