Romanian farmers started corn harvest

Weather conditions. This past week, air temperatures in Romania were far above their long-term normal (up 6..9°С). The mean daytime air temperature varied within +22..+33°С.

Moisture supply. Almost no precipitation occurred this past week, just light rain was seen in the south. Actually, soil drought is reported in all of the country's growing regions – this is an unfavorable factor ahead of fall planting.

Farmers in the south have started corn harvest and continue harvesting sunflower, reports UkrAgroConsult.
