Russia. Barley exports 21% behind last year
Russia exported 315 KMT of barley in September 2019/20, or 25% less than shipped abroad in August and 50% less than did in July, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Russian barley exports in July-September this season reached 1.36 MMT that is 21% less than in the same period in MY 2018/19.
The biggest importers of Russian barley this season are Saudi Arabia and Iran.
A rise was seen in barley supplies to Libya – 78% of the total in MY 2018/19.
This season, Russia resumed exports to Qatar, which last purchased Russian barley in May 2016/17.
