Russia. February witnessed a rise in rapeseed crushing
Russian crushers produced 45.2 KMT of rape oil in February 2019, or 8.9% more than in the previous month (41.5 KMT) and up 39.5% from February 2018 (32.4 KMT). Following a downturn in rapeseed crushing towards the end of 2018, in the first two months of 2019 it hit a record high for this time of year. Overall, rape oil production in July-February 2018/19 remains at a record level of 375.4 KMT (+45% from last year).
According to UkrAgroConsult’s estimates, total rape oil production in the 2018/19 season will be at least 500 KMT.
