Farmers in the south of the country (Stavropol, Krasnodar regions) have already begun harvesting winter barley and wheat. The first yield values are higher than last year.

According to preliminary information, Russia exported 34.2 MMT of wheat in July-May 2018/19 (down 12% year-on-year, up 19% from the five-year average). Egypt is traditionally the biggest importer of Russian wheat with a market share of 21%.
