Sunflower seed export duty in Russia left unchanged
The Russian sub-commission on tariff and non-tariff regulation and protective measures in the foreign trade has not decided to raise export duty on Russian sunflower seed. The proposals were returned for further corrections, reports UkrAgroConsult.
In August 2019, the Fat-and-Oil Union of Russia proposed raising sunseed export duty to 20% (now it equals 6.5%, but at least EUR 9.75/MT). The reason is that crushers are afraid of a rise in oilseed exports and seek to increase exports of sunflower oil.
