Sunflower seed exports from Ukraine fell almost by half
Sunflower seed exports in September-June 2019/20 totaled 47.3 KMT (down 45% year-on-year), UkrAgroConsult reports.
The key importer this season is the EU, which purchased roughly as much as last year – 49% of total exports).
Turkey slashed purchases by 76%. The April-May surge in sunflower seed and oil imports stemmed from the imposition of a ban on sunflower seed exports outside the EEU.
Growth in exports was registered to the following markets: Georgia, China, Iraq).
A slowdown in exports was observed to countries such as: Azerbaijan, Sweden and Romania.
