Tunisia – second largest importer of Romanian barley in 2018/19
According to official data, in July-December 2018/19 Romania exported 867 KMT of barley. This was 16% lower than in the same period of 2017/18 MY and 22% lower than the 5-year average for the country, reports UkrAgroConsult.
This season Spain, Iran and Jordan are absent from major buyers of Romanian barley due to lower export potential of Romanian barley.
Though, according to official data, exports to key buyer Saudi Arabia are 14% higher than last season. Barley exports to Tunisia are 270% higher than last season (101.5 KMT against just 27.5 KMT in July-June 2017/18 MY).
