Ukraine. Egg exports in Jan-Apr up 1.8x
In January-April 2019, egg exports from Ukraine amounted to 52.69 thou. tons, 80 per cent more from the prior year's comparative period.
By the data of the State Fiscal Sevice of Ukraine, the key importers are as follows:
the U.A.E. — USD 12.7 million (14.07 thou. tons);
Iraq — USD 12.4 million (13.77 thou. tons);
Latvia — USD 4.7 million (4.95 thou. tons);
others — USD 17.9 million (19.89 thou. tons).
In monetary terms, egg exports amounted to USD 47.5 million vs. USD 28.11 million in January-April 2018.
As previously reported, in 2018 the Ukrainian company Ovostar Union established a subsidiary, OAE Food Trade FZE, in Dubai (the U.A.E.).
