Ukraine began sugar beet sowing
«Rat» Agricultural Enterprise (Volyn region, Lutsk district) the first in Ukraine began sugar beet sowing.
It is reported by press service of the Agricultural Department of Volyn Regional State Administration.
«Sugar beet are sown on the similar areas as last year. The temperature regime of the soil corresponds to the optimum. Recently, we have completed the closure of the moisture by soil harrowing», — said Oleksandr Shumsky.
The company has already defined the crop rotations. Next year the company plans to grow wheat, then — corn, then — again wheat and only after 4-5 years — there will be a beet field.
