Ukrainian farmers have gathered 68.5 million tonnes of grain crops

Ukrainian farmers have gathered 68.5 million tonnes of grain crops from an area of 14.5 million hectares, the press service of the Agrarian Policy Ministry reports.

“As of November 29, Ukrainian farmers threshed 68.5 million tonnes of grain crops from an area of 14.5 million hectares (98%) with a yield of 47.2 centners per ha,” reads the report.

In particular, 34.3 million tonnes of early grain and leguminous crops have been harvested from an area of 9.9 million hectares with a yield of 34.8 centners per ha; 33.3 million tonnes of corn from an area of 4.3 million hectares (95%) with a yield of 76.9 centners per ha; 136 thousand tonnes of buckwheat from an area of 108 thousand hectares (99%) with a yield of 12.6 centners per ha; 78 thousand tonnes of millet from an area of 51 thousand hectares (98%) with a yield of 15.54 centners per ha.

Also, 13.8 million tonnes of sunflower seeds were threshed from an area of 6.0 million hectares (99%) with a yield of 22.8 centners per ha; 4.3 million tonnes of soybeans from an area of 1.7 million hectares (99%) with a yield of 25.8 centners per ha; 2.7 million tonnes of rapeseed from an area of 1.0 million hectares with a yield of 26.1 centners per ha. Also, 13.5 million tonnes of sugar beet were harvested from an area of 273 thousand hectares (98%) with a yield of 494 centners per ha.

As to the sowing campaign, the farmers have already sowed 7.1 million hectares with winter crops (98%), with a projected area of 7.2 million hectares and 1.0 million hectares (117%) with winter rapeseed, with a projected area of 888 thousand hectares.
