Ukrainian pea exports to the EU hit an all-time high
Ukrainian peas are exported to countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Near East (overall to at least 60 countries).
Pea exports from Ukraine in July-April 2018/19 totaled some 630 KMT – the second highest volume after the 2017/18 record, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The EU is the biggest importer with a market share of 42%. All-time high exports to this destination: 265.1 KMT, or up 215% from the 2017/18 total.
Growth in demand from markets that were sluggish last year: Bangladesh (+479%), Egypt (+406%), Nepal (+162%), Yemen (+109%).
Decreased exports of peas was observed to India (-65%), Turkey (-64%) and Pakistan (-7%).
