USDA once again raised its forecast for corn exports from Ukraine

The USDA has published its April’s forecast for global crop production, demand, consumption and exports. The 2018/19 grain production estimates for the Black Sea region were increased due to upward adjustments in Ukraine’s harvests of wheat (+100 KMT), corn (+300 KMT) and barley (+200 KMT). Correspondingly, the forecast for Ukrainian corn exports in MY 2018/19 was raised by 500 KMT.

In addition, USDA experts revised their estimate for 2017/18 wheat output in Russia, increasing it by 200 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Overall, the estimate for 2018/19 production of major grains in the Black Sea region rose by 0.3%, to 187.1 MMT, and the forecast for their exports gained 0.5%, to 104.8 MMT.
