Austrian companies to begin buying Belarusian rape oil via exchange
An agreement was reached on the sidelines of an Austrian-Belarusian business forum to supply Belarusian timber and agricultural commodities to Austria via commodity exchange, reports UkrAgroConsult.
The Austrian side was most interested in Belarusian sawn timber and oilseed derived products, in particular rape oil. It is planned to expand the range of export items in the future.
According to OJSC “Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange,” thirteen Austrian companies are now accredited at the exchange. They made USD 766,000 worth of exchange transactions in 2018.
