Weather conditions. Air temperatures were near or above normal.

Moisture supply. The topsoil moisture content is sufficient for crop growing. No precipitation was seen on the last days of June. Rain on the first days of July slowed harvest of winter wheat, UkrAgroConsult reports.

Crop condition. Black mold on the surface of wheat heads occurred in some excessively wet fields that may deteriorate the quality of grain. Spring crops developed at an accelerated pace.
