Three importers hold a 58% share of Ukrainian sunflower oil deliveries in Jan-Sep
In January-September 2019, sunflower oil exports from Ukraine totalled 4.1 mln t for the amount of USD 2.81 bln.
Under the data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the key importers in the reporting period are as followed:
India — USD 933.94 mln (a 33.24% share of the total supply);
China — USD 369.43 mln (13.15%);
the Netherlands — USD 334.28 mln (11.9%);
others — USD 1.12 bln (41.72%).
As a reminder, an increase in the supply of sunflower oil amidst the rich sunflower crop in the Black Sea region was exerting pressure on prices.
Supply prices of crude sunflower oil from Ukraine in November-December are at the level of 690-695 $/ton FOB Chernomorsk compared to 695-700 $/ton FOB earlier, while demand prices do not exceed 680-685 $/t.
