Ukraine. Zaporizhia oil extraction plant increased sunflower seed crush

Optimusagro Trade’s Zaporizhia oil extraction plant processed 855 KMT of sunflower seed in the 2018/19 season, or 6% more than in MY 2017/18.

Output of unrefined sunflower oil increased by 8%, to 360 KMT, with sunflower meal production up 5% at 335 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As of August 10, the Zaporizhia oil extraction plant was under maintenance repairs until new crop sunseed arrivals in the market reach a sufficient level for full utilization of the plant’s capacity.
