Ukraine. Epicenter K harvested 760 thou. tons of grains and oilseeds
In MY2017/18, the agricultural division of Epicenter K harvested 760 thou. tons of grain and oilseed crops.
The company reported the following yields:
corn — 501 thou. tons on 41.2 thou. ha with a yield of 12.16 t/ha;
winter wheat — 138.8 thou. tons on 22.9 thou. ha with a yield of 6.04 t/ha;
sunflower — 123.4 thou. tons on 35.5 thou. ha with a yield of 3.47 t/ha.
According to Vasiliy Moroz, the head of the agrarian branch of Epicenter K, all agrotechnical operations were completed in the fields in time: before the first snow, high-quality tillage was carried out.
“The yield results are satisfying: they were achieved due to strict adherence to the cultivation technology, successful selection of varieties, the use of highly productive equipment and a well-calculated investment strategy,” he says.
According to Vasiliy Moroz, preparations for the next season have already begun.
Previously it was reported that in 2019, Epicenter K planned to purchase 300 grain hopper cars. Moreover, the company considers the acquisition of a port terminal.
