Wheat exports from Kazakhstan falling as stocks deplete
340.6 KMT was exported in July (-16% from June and -7% from July 2018/19), UkrAgroConsult reports. 4.1 MMT has been exported since the beginning of the season (-22% year-on-year).
Uzbekistan stepped up imports in July owing to a large purchase of 279 KMT. As a result, the 2019/20 total was up 1% on the year. Uzbekistan’s share in July grew to 53%.
Another buyer that increased purchases from MY 2018/19 is Afghanistan (up 32% with a 10% share).
