Epicenter K launched flour production
The group of companies Epicenter K started flour production in the Vinnytsya production cluster. Flour milling capacities were put into operation at one of the agroholding's elevators — Gnivan Grain Collecting Station.
The group of companies noted in a statement that wheat flour production will function under the trademark Vinnytsya flour.
"From the economic point of view, the start of work in the segment will allow the company to increase profitability and diversify export risks. Unlike grain crops, which are mainly exported, flour produced by Epicenter K will be sold in the domestic market," said Vasily Moroz, Head of the agricultural division of Epicenter K.
According to him, the company arranges flour supplies to the wholesale segment, bakeries. The first agreements on cooperation in this sales channel have already been signed.
Previously it was reported that Ukraine exported 301.4 thou. tons of flour in the 2018/19 season. This volume is 26.95 percent of 111.2 thou. tons less from last year's comparative period (412.6 thou. tons).
