Kazakhstan. Planting of early spring grains started in the country
Monthly precipitation rates in most regions were within their normal range. The average air temperature this month was one or two degrees above normal in mountainous and sub-mountainous areas of South Kazakhstan, Jambyl and Almaty regions.
On March 11-15, after warm air masses had arrived, daytime air temperature increased to +5-13°С in the northern half and +13-23°С in the southern half. Farmers in Kyzylorda region started planting spring wheat. Preparation for spring fieldwork is underway in Karaganda region, reports UkrAgroConsult.
