Kazakhstan. Sunflower oil exports heading towards a new record
Sunflower oil exports in MY 2019/20 are expected to total at least 81.5 KMT due to an increased sunseed crop, higher crush and stable demand from China, which is the biggest and promising buyer, reports UkrAgroConsult.
China is the top importer (68% of total exports against 36% in MY 2018/19), with its September purchases up at 3.4 KMT against 0.2 KMT a year earlier. Sunflower oil exports from Kazakhstan in September 2019/20 were record high for this time of year.
A slump was seen in supplies to Tajikistan (-84%) and Uzbekistan (-47%).
