Romanian farmers actually completed harvest corn and sunflower
Weather conditions. Air temperatures in the south of Romania exceeded their long-term normal values (2..4°С). The average daytime air temperature varied within +10..+25°С. In the south, the thermometer even showed +27..+28°С on September 28.
Moisture supply. Soil moisture deficits are reported in all of the country’s growing regions, except for the northeast. Last week, effective precipitation occurred all across the country (25 mm over the week) that will alleviate soil drought. Its rates in the northeast exceeded monthly normals (65 mm), leading to excessive moisture in the soil.
Romanian farmers continue sowing winter grains and oilseeds. They have actually completed harvest of corn and sunflower, reports UkrAgroConsult.
