Russia. Rains in almost all the federal districts replenished soil moisture
Weather conditions on June 1-10:
– below-normal air temperatures in the Northwest, Central and Volga federal districts;
– warm weather with rain of various intensities in the Southern and North Caucasian federal districts;
– sharp temperature swings in Western Siberia (the highest temperature values were at 28…32°C).
Moisture supply. Rains occurred in almost all the federal districts (on average 25-30 mm) that replenished soil moisture, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Crop condition. Crop growing conditions in the Northwest, Central and Volga federal districts were mainly fair because of too wet soil and a lack of heat. Crops in the Southern, North Caucasian federal districts and Western Siberia are rated good and fair.
